Sources close to the presidency reveal that former governor of Rivers state and minister for transport, Rotimi Amaechi has been selected to head the president’s campaign.

Amaechi has been issued a letter of appointment for next year’s elections and is expected to make an official announcement soon. He was also the president’s campaign director in 2015.
Buhari has not really been straight-forward with his ambitions for a second term but this recent development has indicated that he will be running.
